METRO/PREP PROGRAM

The Flyers Metro Program is for new or experienced junior athletes who are interested in playing club volleyball, but at a less competitive level. Compared to the Rox, National, and Regional levels that practice twice per week and play in 2-day tournaments, the Metro teams will practice once per week and play in 1-day tournaments. The focus is on developing skills, preparing for the next level, and having fun! For more information on different team levels, please see the team descriptions and cost page.

Players can sign up individually, with a group of friends, or as a whole team. Players (except for those who have a pre-formed team) who have signed up will need to attend the Metro Placement Day on Saturday September 14, 10am-12pm to be placed on teams and meet coaches. Teams are formed based on age, skill, and position.

Practices start in December and will continue through March. Metro teams will play 1-day tournaments approximately once per month and only in the DFW metroplex (no out of area travel).

The Flyers Prep Program is the next level (after Metro) of club volleyball before you get to the more serious club teams. These teams are comprised of players with a little more experience than the Metro Program teams and will practice twice per week. They will also play in an additional 2-day tournament. There is no out of area travel for these teams.

SATELLITE PROGRAM

The Flyers Satellite Program is for groups of players that already have a team and would like to participate in USAV tournaments in the NTR region. The Satellite teams are typically located farther from the main Flyers facility and will practice offsite at their own location (usually a middle or junior high school). There are no tryouts conducted by Frisco Flyers for the Satellite Program as teams are usually pre-formed within their own community. The teams supply their own coach and Flyers will provide the coach with the training and certifications required by USA Volleyball.

For example, the Celina Flyers is a Satellite Program that has 5 teams composed of all players from Celina. The teams practice at their own facility, though coaches and players are always welcome to come for training clinics and participate in other programs at the main Frisco Flyers facility.

If you are interested in starting a Satellite team or program, please email metro@ffvbc.com.
